These variable temperature electric kettles got very expensive a few years ago; this one hovers around $100 usually. It's back down to what the regular price used to be before the Bonavita brand was sold and the new owners jacked it up.

I've been drinking v60 pour over exclusively for about 18 months and I feel like it's finally time to buy a gooseneck. Bonavita is a well known name but the critical reviews on Amazon are concerning. I also learned on Reddit that company had some sort of restructuring in 2021 which left previous buyers with little to no support.

Anyone bought this in 2021-2024 have any feedback?

I've had kettle for a few years. It isn't the highest wattage so won't heat the fastest, but it's worked and continues to work.

Maybe a year ago the temp controller started jumping all over the place, it seems like it still works okay, but the actual water temp is plus/minus 10 degrees. No clue if it's actually a problem with the thermometer or just the display.

When I contacted the company they said 🤷 and told me to buy a new one for a discount price.

I have had this exact kettle for a couple years and it's been rock solid. I literally use it multiple times a day.
