This game is a lot of fun, is extremely polished, zero jank, and very unique weapons system which has none of the normal FPS cliches. Really makes playing the game a memorable experience compared to 99% of the other FPS games out there. But if you rush into the game saying "where is my (carbon copy) SMG and rocket launcher" and refuse to adapt (which is the point), then I could see some people being turned off.
Game has pretty much no story though, but that is common place in frantic shooters such as this. Story appears to be: robots gone crazy, you are a human ex-cop who decides to fight crazy robots, some person talks to you randomly on the radio....and I stopped paying attention after that. Beat the game though. I assume the humans won
