Physical forever. Resell value alone is a good reason. No, not every game is gonna be Hagane for the snes someday, but being able to sell or trade games you don't play anymore is huge. I won't pay money for digital anything unless it's an online only game (Diablo 4).
Oh sweet, good opportunity to pick up Pikmin 4 as I was waiting for a good sale on that one.
Starts Sunday, July 7th.

Is co-op any good or is it Super Mario 64 style where the 2p just points and clicks?
Definitely not worth it if you primarily want to do co-op. It's very much a "2p is just along for the ride" kind of thing and not the full co-op that was added in for Pikmin 3 Deluxe.

Do you guys prefer an electronic copy of the game or the physical copy? I'm trying to figure out which is better for my daughter. She currently has a bit of both in her collection.

I've always had a strong preference for physical when it comes to console games, especially for AAA titles. It makes it easy to share them, which is a nice plus. Though I will buy digital for smaller indie games or when the price difference between physical and digital is substantial enough.

edit: the topic could be moot for the purposes of this Target sale though as digital might be excluded.

edit 2: looks like digital versions are actually included with this promo!

Physical copies, no question at all. Physical copies stay with you, can be traded/sold/gifted/borrowed, and could very well end up being worth more than you paid for it to begin with if it's taken care of. Digital has its positives as well but I'll take physical every single time I've got a choice.

Don't forget physical has the game on the cartridge, with minimal space required for additional content/save files. Games like the ones on this site would easily take up a lot of space, so you'd have to invest on an SD card with at least 128GB. Me personally, I've a 400 GB on my switch. Barely held my library, and had to load the rest on a 256 GB card

Just bought a Nintendo switch oled… I know I'm late to the party but I bought the Capcom fighting collection. Any of these games worth picking up? I enjoy retro and open world games. Appreciate it!

Super Mario Odyssey for sure then. Great game, it's more like open zone than open world, and there are also retro platforming parts integrated into the gameplay as well.

I think the points regarding physical are valid. Wish that said, the digital library is very helpful for kids. They don't have to find the cart to play it and their only responsibility is to charge the switch. The few carts I have bought have ultimately gotten lost. Also it's just piece of mind having them all on your device as opposed to a booklet of media carts.

And finally, game saving and sharing on switch is a mega PITA. You won't believe how hard it is to setup 3 people playing Zelda at the same time. Physical makes this easier but it's still tricky. It may not be applicable to you, but if it is you might want to read up on it.

I'm curious as well. I guess we'll find out when the sale goes live. Would love it if Advance Wars Reboot Camp was included too as that's another I was waiting on and which has seldom seen much of a discount.
