FYI, you will probably want to get a trigger job done. The trigger on beretta's are heavy and most folks switch out the trigger and spring to make the squeze easy. Usually runs about $50 for parts and labor.Cool

Make sure you understand the difference between the 92F and the 92FS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beretta_92

The FS model has an extra part that will prevent the slide from coming off the gun and going into your eye. A rare occurance, but that is why the model number changed and they added a new part.

I have an FS that I carry all the time when I run my dogs on the river. Skunks, badgers, coons, and snakes, I've got them all. I can't claim accuracy is any better than any other, I've heard it is worse. Love mine. I have small hands too. Probably been carring it for 15 years.

Just understand the difference between the F and FS.

Friend has the 92FS. Shoots really good and was pretty accurate. A little heavy but I like it since it does not have much recoil due to the all metal and weight. All the guns I own are polymer frame so there is a good amount of recoil and being used to it, I was able to shoot the FS pretty good.

Hmm, going to sit out on this, but I would opt for the Very Good Plus, whatever that means. It's hard to buy one sight unseen. These would be great for target practice; the ammo is cheap, the firearm is reliable and well-known. The 92FS is an old design. It is heavy considering the load, and accurate once the sights are mastered. There are plenty of alternatives, most cost more. Not my choice, but good for other ex-military or law enforcement who may favor it.

One thing to say about 92F series....I have seen several used/new models with the sight out of alignment from time and time again. Just FYI.

great for most purposes but too big for concealed carry....9mm is my round of choice, but in a frame that big you'd expect .45.

even if these are a bit beat up externally, i bet the internals are still shiny!

Why would you expect frame sizes to determine caliber selection? Full size guns offer stability from longer barrel length and weight, better grip and capacity.

I prefer a Glock and I prefer .40S&W but this is a good price and 9mm ammo is cheaper than .40

Damn, I would buy one if I were in the market for a handgun. These were my favorite handguns when I was growing up. However, they do look really beat up..
