Majority of the reviews are under this listing that has the same exact bot without the noodle: https://www.amazon.com/Betta-SE-P...0CVMQ3XBX/

They're known to be unreliable so it's best to buy the extended warranty directly from the manufacturer after it's delivered.

How long will the manufacturer stick around?

I'm not sure if anyone will have a good answer for this. Companies go out of business all the time without much notice.

This is currently one of the best robot skimmers on the market that tends to outperform higher end competitors like Aiper. I haven't seen any comparisons with Dolphin Skimmi yet but that one is in a completely different price bracket.

In my experience, expectations of reliability and longevity tend to be lower in pool electronics because of the environment that they're exposed to. I'd consider three years from a robot like this that runs 24/7 to be a good lifespan.

Plus your options are limited if you need to be able to neglect your pool for a few days. It's safer to turn off the skimmer valve and only use the main drains in case the water level drops to protect your equipment. Your only options are to use a robot or a return side skimmer. If you're worried about reliability and have enough pressure, you can try a return side skimmer like this: https://www.amazon.com/PoolSkim-P...002WKOEGM/

Great price. I have the same one. It skims 24/7. Game changer for pool ownership. I never have to skim anymore.

Just ran mine first time for more than 12 hrs
since yesterday. Feels like moving very slowly and randomly, and pushing debris away. Most debris probably sunk before the machine gets to it.

Biggest problem for us is pollen that likely can't be collected and sinks regardless.
