Just picked one up for 25 yesterday, not sure if mine would drop lower or not.

Haven't really used it yet but I have played around with it, it works very well!

These work well by sensing contrasting density, but do not work with nimh rechargeable batteries bc the nominal voltage is slightly lower at 1.2V. I use lithium rechargeables which run closer to 1.5V in mine. Disposable batteries that no longer work in these stud finders can still probably run lower current devices like remotes.

I got one more than a year ago when it was on clearance at Costco around this price. Before that, I tried it in store and it seemed to work better than my 20 year old Zircon one. Finally, I opened it last year when I added a ceiling fan to a room and a port in garage for generator hook up. It worked okay but it is less sensitive to the deep scan mode in my Zircon. If you don't have any one yet, this is a good deal for a very basic studer finder without any option in detection mode or sensitivity control.
