k1ller deal..my delonghi rialto still going strong after 14 yrs...nough said!
I doubt they are still using the same materials, manufacturing process or QC. A new Toyota is not on the same level (quality wise) as a Toyota from 14 years ago!

I ended up getting the Philips Lattego 3200. Philips is offering 5 yr warranty if you register the product. I heard lots of things break in these automatic machine.
I'm still using my De'Longhi Magnifica after 20 years. Average 2 cappuccinos a day. I've only had a few small things go wrong with it over this time.

Is this the best machine you'd recommend?

Good brand, but this machine appears to be purposely limited. It can't make a lungo or flat white for instance?! It is more than capable to do those.
My issue is that everything looks proprietary. I'd prefer something with a standard group head to allow for accessories. But I assume I'm not the target audience for these.

Yes everything is proprietary here. I have this brand, but a higher end model.

On a side note, it steams milk better than the Phillips. I have owned that model as well.

This and the other Delonghi on sale seem to have so-so and subpar reviews on Amazon. Have debated on that Phillips but hear they are a nightmare to deal with if anything happens. Anyone have a preferred machine that they swear by and could offer a rec? The Brevilles seem to have solid reviews.

This will be my first DeLonghi so IMHO this is a really great set of features for the price point. I've owned a Gaggia Titanium for about 15 years and a Saeco Incanto for about 5 and both have been excellent machines. I have not had to file a single warranty issue with either. That said, I recently had a horrible experience buying the Philips 5400 from another deal a couple of months ago and still trying to get a refund from their terrible support. I suspect we're going to see quality issues going forward with both the machines and support and thought the extra 3 years of warranty made this especially a good deal.

I have a similar superauto (Saeco Granbaristo avanti) now standing unused due to switching to a manual Flair p58 with a Sette 270 grinder. There was a time I was prioritizing speed and convenience of a superauto, but the quality of my espresso and milk drinks is so much better with my current setup that the superauto is gathering dust.
Any interest in getting rid of your Saeco? Looks like it might work for me, and I'd be interested.

3 years in on my LatteGo 3200 and it's rock solid. I take care of the cleaning/lubrication maintenance as required.

My last DeLonghi lasted over 8 years.... Probably the only brand that'd I'd trust to last besides Jura.
Philips is a solid brand as well. Especially their midrange and up models.

New to automatic espresso machines. Are these ones prone to issues? Wondering if the $65 3yr or $85 4yr assurion warranty is worth it?

Couldn't find warranty information if purchased through Amazon, but on their own site, it states:

--------
Full Manufacturer Warranty.

Buy with confidence and receive a full manufacturer's warranty.

3 year warranty is included with all espresso machines when you purchase from De'Longhi.

Warranties vary according to other products.
Out of Warranty Repair Service is not included and does not come with a warranty.
