For 1080p? Yes. Microcenter has a similar spec'd machine for 750.

Adding a second ram stick (has to be same model) to upgrade to 32 GB would be a smart upgrade.

Is this a good deal for an entry level gaming desktop? Some games like dragonballz fighters and elden ring? Appreciate any input and thanks for posting the deal!

Not bad at all for the price. The CPU is on the lower-mid-range side, and the GPU is entry level, but to say this is selling them both very short. 1080p60 should be no problem with any game you throw at it, but I'd avoid ray tracing at this level.

I'd also format the hard drive right away and install my own copy of (OS of choice), but that's just me!

Quest 2 is standalone and doesn't require a computer. Do you mean w/ the link cable? If so, yes, it should work

Could you link the microcenter unit you mentioned? I have a coupon and would be a slicker deal for me Smilie

I have been looking at the microcenter desktops. I bought a Lenovo laptop (still in box) and all of the gamer folk I speak to told me not to bother with anything lower than 4060 because the 60 has more gigs of memory than the 4050.

Sorry if this is a nitpick, but I'm not sure I'd call the GPU "entry level". You're going to have more power than a majority of people who play games if you have a 4060.

It's entry level for the series. Since there is no desktop 4050, this is the lowest end GPU in the rtx 40 desktop lineup.

No worries! That's what I was trying to say. The X060 is technically the entry level RTX card for the 4000 series, but it's no slouch at all, especially with games that are at least a couple of years old (or older.)

Look up PowerSpec G235 on their website. If you want more RAM and better CPU look at the G518 model. Both have a 650 watt PS. Can someone comment on whether the PS have "room for growth" or is the current configuration maxing it out?
