It's non returnable, please double check. These days, amazon customer service became pretty hard to handle.

Good price for $0.5/Wh, but like many smaller power stations, this unit will have very poor inverter efficiency (80% or below per most tests).

It also uses an extremely inefficient solar charge controller for some reason, which is more specific to EcoFlow's cheaper units, but compared to a really high quality MPPT you will easily sacrifice 30% of your incoming power. Guess EcoFlow decided to save a few $ there, I guess they assumed people will largely use these as power banks rather than to receive solar energy.

Edit: regarding solar charge efficiency, very few reviewers test this spec for some reason, which is infuriating. Or they will just test with a DC power supply lol. So I tested quite a few of the smaller power stations on some panels I own

So it's not Hazmat when they ship it to consumer but Hazmat when we ship it back? Hmmm…

TBH, I'm not sure what you quoted is accurate. I got pretty solid solar input in my tests with my River 2 Max..

Is it possible you were using a lower voltage panel? These things have an MPPT controller and can take as little as 11-12V input from solar, but max out at 13A, which could explain why you were seeing less than expected incoming. 12V * 13A = ~150W vs the ~220W these CAN do if you give them a panel (or panels) that are putting out 20-50V.
I hav the the River 2 Pro with the 160w panel, and was pleased by the wattage during poor conditions. Thats why I asked because I thought it seemed good already.

I'd bet he's unknowingly bumping into the 13A limitation with lower voltage DC input, resulting in unintentional misinformation here..

Amazon doing something weird with the coupon deal, and the item is a Lightening Deal now.

Initially I added the item to cart, and applied coupon, but wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger. Thought about it and decided to... so put it back in cart, etc... coupon code gives the error "this coupon could not be applied" ... BUT it was applied in the Cart, regardless of the error, and for more $.

Initial code application: $379 - 26.53 = $352.47
2nd code application: $379 - $41.93 = $337.07

So if you get an error... make sure you actually look at the shopping cart balances.

Had the same thing happen. I'll gladly take the additional $15 off!

Code also seems to work with the models with solar panels. Would it make more sense to buy one of those models instead? Would it still be a good deal?

100% depends on what want to do about Solar Panels. The EcoFlow ones are good but tend to be a little more expensive than off brands.

If you're just doing best price then get an off brand panel (performance varies wildly)
If you want best price/performance there's probably an argument to be made for the EcoFlow Panels to match the unit
If you don't know what you want to do about Solar yet (you may not even need them) then just buy it without and add later.

I have a delta 2. Does this have the features where it prioritizes solar charging and falls back to AC below a certain charge limit?

I think all the LFP models got the energy management page with the backup reserve setting but don't quote me on that.. I don't have my River 2 Max anymore to actively verify.

Random anecdote- I had a power issue in my home after an outage and repair which caused all my outlets to output 240V for a while. I plugged this thing in repeatedly trying to get it to recharge before I realized this. The first time I plugged it in it discharged entirely and gave me an overload error. Kept plugging it in, kept giving me an overload error. Finally got my power fixed and realized what I'd been doing to this thing. Plugged it in again (at 120V) to try it fearing the worst, it powered right on charged up full speed and still works perfectly fine zero adverse effects. Odd story I know, but gave me confidence in this brands tech and longevity compared to others.

Thanks for sharing this great information. Are there any particularly good forums for this type of technical discussion on these devices?
Lots and lots of youtube vids out there that do just that.

I really like jasonoid.com and his yt channel. He has spread sheets of data for plenty of battery options.

Will Prouse (sp?) is another fav,
