None of that is relevant to whether this is a deal or not. A better price will always arrive down the road when it comes to tech. By then there will be something newer/better/faster/whatever.

The same monitor (but as refurbished) was $800 few weeks ago. Bought one and it has been working great. Awesome gaming monitor. The difference is the 3 year burn in warranty. Does that worth $200 extra? It depends. Overall great monitor.
