Great deal, I do believe that's the cheapest it's been. I kinda want to wait and see if it goes lower for Prime day but I also doubt it will and I'm sure it will sell out here before then.

I was debating that as well but I really doubt it would go any lower. Amazon seems to have sales on the lower Viofo models so I just pulled the trigger on this deal.

Repped you OP. Just wish it came with the hardwiring kit for parking mode but those are never included unless you buy them as part of of a bundled package which rarely if ever go on sale.

I bought the A129 Duo a long time ago along with the hardwire kit but never got around to installing it. That same hardwire kit would work for this model as well right?

I have the A139 and it's been a great dash cam. The form of the camera doesn't work for every set up but it's nice. One really nice benefit to the A139 and newer VIOFO cameras is the cable that connects the rear camera. It is much thinner than the normal mini usb cable they were using before. This one is much thinner and easier to get in tight spaces.

They use different connectors and cables.
A129 Duo uses mini USB connector.
This newest model A229 Pro uses USB-C connector.

Those $40-$60 are HD dashcam only and most of them are still $40-$60 when they are on sale.
You cannot get even a good 2K for those price ranges.

Been using Viofo since 2018 with no issues, also recently purchased a newer model from Viofo and it has been working as intended.
