I'm not a dark coffee drinker, but this is pretty good. $10.80 for 4 pounds is hard to pass up.

If you want to take the edge off this strong coffee, mixing grounds 50/50 with Walmart's house brand medium roast tames it down a little. $4 a pound for the Walmart stuff everyday, and it's not half bad. Blending different roasts often yields surprisingly good results.

The only thing i add to my coffee is a little 2% milk to cool it off.

OK.. got some... cheap enough... but concerned about shipping it with 100 degree weather. Hopefully won't have too much impact on the quality/flavor.

I guess it will be an extra dark roast. Maybe I can compensate by mixing it with a light roast.

This is my brand. Can't beat the price, but the shipping is 1 month slow boat to China speed. I just stick it in the freezer and order a month out when getting low.

Good coffee but needs help. My recipe is 4 parts of this to 1 part of Kirkland Colombian (ATM). (Costco has improved the quality on the latter, but raised the price, now $4.67/lb was $3/lb.)

Is this brand/blend smooth or more on the strong bitter side? I don't like the regular Starbucks coffee at all...way too bitter for me. How does this compare?
