Even the coldest water is +/- 32F. Frostbite takes +/- 30 minutes according to this chart at that temp:

Ice baths are a 3-5 minute process when starting and get up to +/- 15 minutes after you have adapted. Lots of good articles out there and step-by-step introductions to ice baths. A quick/easy way to start exploring this is to just crank your shower to cold and go as long as you can.

I have a very similar version with a different brand (most likely made in the same factory) and my biggest issue is keeping it cold. The black "tactical nylon" exterior absorbs heat from the sun and has done a great job keeping mine at a not-so-cold 70 degrees. I'd like to avoid having to drain and refill it each time but have also seen cooling unit pricing in/around $500/unit.

Any other ideas to keep things cold enough that a few large ice blocks can cool it down to ~50ish? I'm already scouting a better location that's mostly out of the sun but not great options with our house layout.
