FWIW I've been getting along just fine using corks from wine and liquor bottles. If you're sticking a beer in the fridge for a few days, a firmly pressed cork isn't going anywhere. I do this with champagne too, it stays fizzy for a week+. Done it dozens of times, never had a cork pop out.

This is a super highly rated product, and thought of by many as one of the best bottle openers in the world.

Do you need a resealler for a 12oz bottle of Coors Light? No. Do you maybe need/want one for a 750ml bottle of some Belgian quad you don't want to finish in one go? Yeah, maybe.

I swear by these for resealing larger format bottles that are just too much to drink in one sitting. The carb on beers will last 1-2 days in the fridge. The hermetus won't fit very well over the larger 750ml bottles with the particularly thick mouths. But even so, an excellent product. One of the best tools in beer.
Especially those 20+% Bruery beers they sell in 750ml bottles.

Apparently you are not a beer drinker! If you're too drunk to finish your beer it's a sin to waste it, hence the reason to reseal!
A real drinker would finish it

Not necessarily if the beer is a white whale, like Pliny the Elder or the Younger: you sign up to be notified when this year's batch will be ready, then on that day you take the airplane, you stand in line for a few hours to acquire your THREE bottles. Wouldn't you want to make it go further?

Sure, domestic beers in 33 cl bottles don't have this problem, you can clean the toilet bowl with what's left.

No matter if Elder or the Younger, you should finish your beer at the original sitting.

No wonder. It's under "Woodchippers, Shredders, and Mulchers" for some reason on Amazon.

It's also rated 40th in Wood Chippers category, so that's impressively versatile.
It shows, for me #1 best seller in wood chippers, shredders and mulchers.

I guess you don't have friends to share with? Those big bottles are intended to share.

I brew my own beer. When I don't put it in the kegerator I bottle it in swing tops.

And I'm still considering this. I have a problem. A Slickdeals problem.

Does resealing help with beer? Once you drink any, you just displaced a lot of beer in the bottle with air and oxygen. Wouldn't it not make much difference? Serious question
You're quite right once oxygen enters the bottle oxidation begins, you'll also start losing carbonation once the pressure is released. The only reason I could see to "seal" a beer bottle is if it's a large bottle and you only have room in the glass for part of it and plan to finish it after you drink your first glass.

Why do you need resealer for beer?
Anything you open, that will go stale, and you won't finish before going stale, you want to seal. If you don't, it's just wasted. If you are specifically talking 12 Oz size liquids, we'll some people don't want to finish a can of soda, and same can go for beer. If you cracked one open, took a sip, then discovered you had to go somewhere, it would be wasteful to dump and irresponsible to chug before jumping in the car. To extremists out there, a sip is not going to impier anyone enough to be a cause of any accident that should occur, but whatever you want to believe.

I think the better question is 'why do you need this resealer?' You don't. It's gimmicky, and the material that seals looks like it will not do a good job since you are holding it in place with pure friction and it's on a grade. You have to slide it in deep where the open grade will seal enough, but that is compressing the small end much tighter. I would not be surprised to learn these dry out and flake, especially at the side you are compressing too much. There is also a good chance you won't insert it deep enough to make an air tight seal.

As someone else said holding on to some corks and using them will work. It's more environmentally friendly since you would just throw them out otherwise. For all beverages of all sizes, some scrap plastic (bag, shrink wrap, plastic wrap, etc) and a rubber band work fine. I like using the asparagus bands for many things, but you regular hobby assortment of rubber bands has all the sizes you could want. A plain over sized band works fine if you twist and wrap it as many times as needed. Again, works on all beverages, and as everyone said this should be rarely needed. Coming up with a quick solution from stuff you already have is not that hard at all.

Thanks for this, while resealing a beer is silly, these will work great for mixers!

Resealer for alcohol, made in Germany? A bit late for April's fool joke, won't you say?
