And FYI all - the newer version of the Echo products may have better HDW, but I have seen the SW is crap. I returned a show 5 bc the SW made it worthless as an alarm clock. Talked with cust support for days. They tried swap tronics and sent me a replacement which had the same issues.
May be a result of Amazon moving away from an Android based OS.
For now I am keeping all my older versions!

I don't think the base sale price of this will change on prime day, but it's possible a different bundle deal of some sort will appear that I prefer (which may also have a trade-in glitch that gives you a better discount, but those are very rare these days.) At least that's what happened to me the last couple times I did deals on the Echo Show 5, I saw a combo I liked better that also resulted in a bigger discount thanks to a glitch (again, the chances of that are very small these days, but one slips through briefly sometimes). The hard part for me is deciding when to buy, and hoping it gives the 20% off instantly, which in the past has been hit and miss whether it will do that.
