This one for 244 is 144hz, 165hz oc. Also much brighter 550cdm2 vs 300.

Ugh. Last night I literally ordered two 27" 1440 60Hz Viewsonic monitors from B&H last night for 180 used and 220 new.

I do worry about 34" being too big though for my viewing distance of 3-3.5 feet and things just appearing bigger on the screen vs more detailed.

Thoughts on returning the B&H for these?

Did you pay that for 2 total or per monitor, if per monitor you over paid unless there is something special about the Viewsonics like 100% adobe or something like that...

The 34" Xiaomi from Walmart is way better deal than this for $40 more...

I purchased them specifically because they can daisy chain. They supposedly also have a solid color uniformity and quality, etc etc

I paid 180 for the used open box and 220 for the new one.

I would probably return and get a 34" cause than you wont need the daisy chain. Heck get both and see which you like better and return the one you dont want. I think the Xia would be overall better personally, but my use is media and gaming.

If I were you I'd cancel them asap.

I'm team ultrawide so IMO 1 3440x1440 > 2 2560x1440. I've been using the 35" LG from Costco for wfh, been a few years and I've been very happy. I probably sit closer to the screen than you.

The Viewsonic doesn't sound like a deal at all. If you have a Costco membership you can get better specs 27" for under $200. Buy, see what works for you and return if you don't like it.

Asrock has the absolute worst customer service and has been doing shady things that Asus was recently called out on by gamersnexus where when they receive damaged products they go straight to it being "damaged by customer" and charging for repairs. I'll never buy anything from Asrock

I am getting two monitors regardless of being 27 or 34. So I either need to daisy chain or then also buy a docking station to reduce cables

I really like having a vertical monitor. Does a curved panel work OK for that?

It seems like there are several good deals on 34" curved monitors today. After studying the various options, I went with this one that came in just under $180 with the 6% coupon:

Amazon.com: acer 34" Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor, 3440 x 1440, 165Hz, FreeSync Premium, VA Panel, 300Nit, HDR10, 2X HDMI 2.0, 2X DisplayPort 1.4, Built-in Speakers, UM.CE3AA.V01 (Renewed) : Electronics

Yes, it is renewed and I know I am rolling the dice a bit, but I have had pretty good luck with Amazon's renewed products and this seems like a pretty good monitor at this price.
