These are the sous vide solution for iPhones. I've never had one that didn't cook mine to an unusable state. They may work well for ice fishing but doesn't take long if you're on a beach or float trip to trigger a max temp error once in the bag.
I got this on woot last year for $7. Took it snorkeling and it leaked. Got a refund tho but it messed up my charging port for a day until it dried out. I even tested it in sink before and it was ok.

If you submerge it even a little it leaks. It also does not float with an iPhone. I do not recommend.
Ziploc won't float, and isn't great on reuse; tends to leak over time. Even if it doesn't leak, you drop your phone in and it'll be waterproof all the way to the bottom of whatever body of water you're in, you'll never see it again. I've used a couple of these Pelican cases and haven't had any issues. For the price, it's a no-brainer to buy these; they're waaay cheaper than replacing your phone because it got lost in the drink.

XL version ("Plus" size phones will need that vs. the regular size, I have one for my Pixel 6/8 Pro) is also available at significant discount; click the other options in this listing and you'll see it.

I don't know if any but the acronym is actually EPIRB. Hopefully that helps you find deals.

Strange. I also got it for $7 from woot and took it snorkeling for 2 weeks. Never had any issues with either mine or my wife's phone. I have a Razr plus which is rather large when unfolded which fits just fine and floats as expected.

Edit: Looks like I got the XL version and this is the regular size version

Bought mine a couple years ago worked great until it didn't. I'd take mine into the shower after exercising at the gym. One day it started to tear up where it pinches and locks. Barely let in moisture over time but it did nonetheless. And then one day the one of two locking tabs just snapped as I was pressing it closed. For 10 bucks it wasn't worth the hassle of complaint, Correspondence and resolution

My humans have these and bring them to waterparks. They are highly effective.

As for me, I'll just stay dry - dunking yourself in water is just insane.

I just used one of these on my trip to Iceland. I used it in a sauna, steam room, cold plunge and geothermal hot springs and it didn't leak at all. The regular size one fit my iphone 13 pro max, but it is just a tad (like 1/4 in) small such that it's slightly annoying to reach the bottom to swipe up. I paid $20 for one of them. This is a solid price for two of them.
