JBL should be better. I compared the Philips X5206 and JBL PartyBox 110 and really loved the PartyBox.

I've not heard this, but based on prior Philips experience and specs like "50Hz - 20KHz, -12dB" with an 8 inch woofer I'm going to guess it sounds like doody
