40% should be fine with only 16GB of RAM for another 2-3 years but they keep adding more and more stuff to the internet ??
Once you run out of RAM, even a 3k fast PC crawls.
MS behind the scenes are also uploading your files to their cloud, so more resource's and more tracking. Already over 700 companies spying on us for the Gov't.
Just watched Switch to Linux or Switched to Linux on YT about this. Thinking of testing Linux Mint on old 8th Gen ? Have 12 Gen laptop now with Windows 11 Pro and thinking of PopOS or Debian 12.6. but I'll probably wuss out until early 2026 on that one.
This seems like a great price though.
Always check CPU-Monkey and NanoReview.net for CPU comparisons. It's not everything but helps. Nanoreview.net look to see if it might have two 2080 NVMe slots or one or maybe different types.
Notebookcheck.net. If they review your actual model, it's a Gold mine of info with a possible picture of it taken apart and you'll see the inside where things go.

My office laptop has 16gb and I nverr tend to use more than 10 gb and I am a heavy user

My newer one came with 32 DDR5 and eventually put in 64GB. I don't game though, everyone is different.

Well SD is a good start, but you are going to need to provide more info on what you want than a "business laptop". How big of a screen, touchscreen or non touchscreen, battery life, weight, and what apps do you want to run are just some of things that would determine the right laptop for you.
The intel does not have one.
Do you do some tradein ?
