I bought this last time it was on sale a year ago and the thing died within 6 months they wouldn't cover the warranty on it which was supposed to be 10 years they also charge you shipping which is about $60 if it breaks

It's so annoying when Amazon groups similar products together and becomes difficult to tell what reviews are for which products.

Toshiba = Midea now.

I've had the 6-in-1 of this about two years now and only use the microwave part. It takes some getting used to not having digit controls, but it's not bad. I paid $149 at the military exchange.

I paid 160 for an older model three years ago. A door switch went bad, cost me $5 on ebay, easy fix. It's been great overall otherwise. I use the air fryer all the time; it's more convenient than the convection setting on the big oven. Controls are pretty cryptic if you want to do anything complicated.

If you bought it using a credit card, most of them have purchase protection. See if they will comp you the warranty claim cost.

Problem with this type of air fryer is the cleaning. Basket air fryers are much easier to clean and move around.

Go to the bottom of the review section and click on '...all reviews...', then you will have a drop down to pick current product reviews vs all product reviews. There is a filter for '...photos and videos....' review only too.

My experience is exactly opposite. I hated cleaning my Phillips air fryer as the drawer holding the basket has too many nooks and crannies where grease is hard to clean out. Same for the surfaces of the handle mechanism of the basket, and the basket. The microwave on the other hand is incredibly easy to clean just like a traditional microwave. Microwave a bowl of water until it's steaming, let it sit for 5 mins, wipe out everything steam loosened in a minute! I received this as a gift and I wasn't looking for a microwave replacement. I thought it was gimmicky at first, certainly not something I would buy, Jack of all trades, master of none. I already owned an air fryer at the time. This thing proves to be a revolution for the kitchen though. I use four functions regularly; especially the big three: convection oven, air fry, microwave. Back to the air fryer: much better than a traditional! The cooking space is almost doubled compared to the small basket of the air fryer, and does not take up any additional counter space! I always disliked the amount of space air fryers take up given the proportion of food it prepares. It's an oven though, so it makes sense. Package an oven for countertop use and it will require a large housing for insulation value, leaving a small space inside for the actual food. Not ideal for family size meals, unless it's a side dish etc. okay for singles or couples though. This machine Works just as great for air frying, if not better due to more room to move air around the food and heat coils in two locations in the unit. Behind and above! Which leads into the second feature I love: convection oven. This is a god send! Cooks faster than my traditional oven, again due to the air circulation, pre-heats way faster, and does not heat up the kitchen on warm days like the traditional oven! Plus the benefit of no carbon monoxide gases in the kitchen as well if you're concerned about them from a gas oven stove. I had no idea I wanted this! Sure I can't bake a sheet of cookies in it. But I can easily still bake large dinner main courses. Whole chicken, roasts, or just multiple frozen items if you're tired that day, burritos, taquitos etc. the racks that are included give you the option to raise your food close to the burner at the top of the interior, so if you want a crispy top, easy! Which is another cook seething btw, broiling! And of course it's main function: microwaving. Not much to say here except it does the job as well as any other microwave of course. But that's the beauty of it. It's simple to use the normal microwave feature just as one should be. Throw your food in, press the +30 sec button and boom it's cooking. Press again to add more time. Of course you can first press microwave button, manually increment the time up to what is necessary for longer cooking and go that route. I will never go back to a normal microwave after owning this honestly. Worth the extra hundred bucks! It takes getting used to operating the different functions, but once you are used to it, the positives of a voluminous air fryer, extra fast baking oven, and microwave all in one, that does not take any extra kitchen space outweighs it easily. Love it and recommended it.

I think the problem is they dont crisp real well compared to air fryers. You could never get chicken as crisp as i do with my ninja or generic air fruers i have.

I bought one of these several years ago and my family loves it. We don't air fry often but it is nice to have and it works for our usage. It's works great as a microwave although the dial control throws people off the first time they use it. I actually prefer it now that I'm use to it (which only took about a week).

20" deep. That's 3-4" more than others I've been looking at. Check your counter space.
