i had this phone for a while.
picked up from metro.
was intending to use as my DD once it unlocked.
then a deal on s23fe came along, and i got the the 23fe as well.
felt the on paper the s23fe was worth the upgrade for not that much more
(maybe difference was ~$50, i dont remember now)
when i had both phones, the a54 was not that slow compare to 23fe.
i would recommend a54 to anyone wanting a good device.
i didnt find it to be slow or laggy.
now, may be different with the updates made to it since then
i would get another , but this deal is too much of a hassle.
plus not sure if this variant, a verizon a54, once UL, will work with TM
Has anyone tried adding a line to an existing account and get a second discounted phone? I can't get it to work. Went through id verification, but then the phone shows full price when added to the cart. I guess I can make a new account, but wanted to see if the second line can be added for the difference between 1 and 2 line monthly charges.

If you haven't already try adding the second line to your cart, then within the cart it suggests if you want to add a phone to go with your new line, click that and search for the a54, the discount should show up in the cart for the free phone.

Have you tried this with an existing account? I already have an account with 1 line (bought a Moto Stylus 2024 recently). I can't seem to add a second line and have the discount show up.

A few details that weren't mentioned in this thread or possibly in the longer older thread.
1) Total bumped up the requirement today to needing the $65 plan to get the phone for free.
2) the second line is $30, so $95 for 2 lines
3) I'm in Texas and it still charged an additional $46 total for taxes for both phones. Metro doesn't do this and I feel like tax shouldn't be charged here the price of the phone is zeroed out.
4) Order total for 2 a54 phones was $141 with the free 2 day shipping.
It is a good deal but Im not sure how slick it is for $141 for two of last years midrange phones if they aren't going to be the daily drivers. Selling one to recoup the cost will definitely help to make it slick.

I was finally able to add a second line to my cart with the free A54, but they are charging taxes on the full amount now, which was over $20. When I ordered the Moto Stylus 2024, they only charged $6.xx in taxes, even though the MSRP of that phone is $200 vs $279 for the A54. I was also able to buy the Moto with the $50 plan. My total with taxes for 1 line was $106 for the Stylus 2024, vs $86 for one line with the A54. Not worth the hassle to me. I will add a second Moto Stylus if they reduce it to free at some point.
I would happily pay $20 more for the Moto based on my personal experience with both phones. The A55 is right around the corner, but he Moto Stylus 2024 was released about a month ago.
Bought two iPhone 11s two months ago. Unable to get the discount after ID verifiation.
Unfortunately, this ID was already used to purchase the maximum number of devices allowed with this special discount.
Wonder when the counter resets. Now we know why they do I'd verification. I have ordered one Moto Stylus 2024 so far. Will save the other slot until I need another phone.
i have this device. after few recent updates, it started to show some lagg thus making the phone slower than when i first unboxed it. need to trade it in for s24.

- I'm not unlocked yet (service started 5/24) and have been using TBV service the whole time.
- Very happy with phone, but I'm a light user. I don't game or do other processor intensive activities. I only use 1-2gb data per month, since I'm mostly at home on Wi-Fi. I don't find it slow or laggy. faster than my old pixel 5a.
- Cellular service has been good. No issues.
- Tweaked out phone for performance and battery life, reducing performance, and it's still fast enough for me.
- You can get a second month of service cheaper if you buy a $25 plan from walmart.com. BUT don't buy until the last day or two of your initial plan, as it will cancel your remaining days (and give you a new 30). That plan also has only 1gb data, so you'll have to be data stingy for a month. You have been warned.
- If you search referral sites, you can get a code good for 5000 points, or a month of service. However, you won't get those points unless you are with TBV for 60 days. You could use them for a free third month of service.
