Do not buy this monitor...I have the exact same one and it started flickering on and off after 4-5 months. Called support and they don't care about you. Put you on hold for 2 hours, tell you its your PC and not the monitor (would also try to blame the power cord, power socket, DP cable, HDMI cable - literally everything). Will lie to you and say they don't have the option to call the manager and eventually they do. So at the moment, I have a $700 monitor that I really don't have a warranty for. There's a reason they are discounting this a lot. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. It's sad, I have owned Alienware/Dell products for a while but after what I have just gone through - I will never buy another alienware/dell branded product. If someone from Dell can reach out to me I would be glad to file my formal complaint.

Edit: Yes, literally changed everything. Even reformatted PC. Used my laptop, still the same effect. Plugged in a different monitor, 0 issues (ironically a Dell monitor).
i bought the AW3821DW from previous deals and have been getting that random black screen flickering issue too. i have to unplug the display port and replug to bring it back. i don't know wtf is going on. i still have 2-3 year warranty left on my monitor tho

Yes. They updated on July 9th...When did you deal with them?
The last firmware update came out on April 16, 2024. The July 9 you're referring to I believe is the Alienware Command Center software which just changes the colors on the back and the power button. This is the link to the firmware.

I had this monitor a couple months after it came out and it's been perfect and would buy another instantly if mine ever failed. I have not had any issues over the last couple years

Try an another cable or a possible display setting within your PC. I'd check the to see if you're running 8 or 10bit, max res and what refresh rate?

I bought the AW 3418DW for $600 in 2020 and it's been great ever since. How much of an upgrade is this for medium gaming and heavy work productivity usage? Worth it or not so much.

You don't have warranty after 5-6 months? You sure?

I just upgraded from that exact monitor to this one. It's a pretty big difference. Those oled blacks are something and the colors on this monitor are legit

I bought this monitor last week for the sale price it's on right now for. Will be nice that Dell price matches once this goes live because I already used my Amex 105 back on a 500 dollar purchase.

It depends on the offer. For example I have a 6% cash back offer from LG up to 250 bucks. You can use that on as many purchases as you want up until you hit the 250 back.

For this offer it's for a single order above 550 dollars so it can only be used one time.

I will say though that I'm tempted to return it and go with the 32in 4k 240 hertz monitor instead. Ultrawide is nice but reading around it seems the benefits of the newer panel especially when it comes to text clarity are pretty big. Also this monitor does have a little bit of coil whine which seems to be an issue with this particular model.

I have the version w/ the g-sync module, the screen itself is amazing. I'm glad to see the prices for these HDR capable monitors coming down.

I picked up one of these on each of the last two sales. Absolutely no regrets. They are freaking amazing.
