I like the lay flat position, but not much padding on back rest. Also, not looking for a power recliner, in my mind, it will take forever to recline or sit up straight again. I have to pass on this one.

Well I found the chair on sale for 800 bucks so 400 is still a good deal.
I also contacted the MFG to see if it was all legit this is their reply

Do you have this one on display(carrollton retail store)? Can I try it in store and purchase for same sale price? Bought one massage chair from your store couple years ago. Still working like champ.

I'm an occupational therapist. Please don't buy this unless all other options have been exhausted. I've seen too many times when someone has purchased one of these prematurely. Their legs become atrophied and their hips locked to the point that standing without a device becomes permanently improbable. We never recommend these.

My father had a massive stroke and couldn't get out of a chair by himself. We grew weary of the caregivers yanking his arms to pull him up and out so we bought a lift chair. It was a blessing to everyone and easier on the caregivers and his body.

It shouldn't matter how big or small they may be. They're advertising it as oversized to appeal to those who want more sturdiness or durability. Two 100lb children could conceivably break this thing by jumping around or acting crazy on it with only a 350lb limit.
