It's this price almost regularly in their app but good for those that aren't in their ecosystem yet.

You get better AI recognition, additional face recognition, and obviously more storage space. The good thing about home-based storage is that it's not on the camera. So if someone steals the camera wor memory card, you're not SOL. I had my homebase somewhere in the house. Be aware that homebase3 needs to be connected via ethernet, not via wifi. The wifi on it is just to extend your signal (2.4 ghz only).

Eufy cams like the Indoor and Pan/Tilt already have local storage (admittedly gimped at 128 GB max), work with the Eufy app, and some kind of smart/AI identification, I believe. Still trying to figure out what additional benefits I get from HomeBase. I realize that some of their (newer) cams require HomeBase.

Hence why I haven't bought this as either a new doorbell will come out to support it or there will be a newer base … so I wait

The doorbell here came with its own base. Different and previous to HB3. There are some other Eufy items that work with it, for instance the delivery security box. Unless Eufy completely redesigns their doorbell HB3 may never work with their doorbell. Local storage is pretty nice.

Are you positive about that? When I was setting it up, after connecting to WIFI, it appeared I could have left it that way. I was connecting cameras to it WIFI only because it needed to be near them and some of them are outside.

how to enhance wifi connction between base and camera？My camera very often could not connect with base because camera is in the backyard and base is in the house entry room

Yes sure about that. Maybe you have the hombase2? When I had the homebase2, it was able to be on wifi. The homebase3 wifi is just to extend the existing signal. I think we may be saying the same thing? It can put out wifi to the cameras but can't use it to connect back to the router.

I can confirm works with wired doorbell. I am currently using it with the wired dual camera (T8213) and battery (T8210).

I use a mesh router to extend the signal. Also helps out because I have so many things on wifi it splits them to three different mesh routers.
