For those with existing/active XBOX Game Pass Ultimate accounts that want to know the conversion rates for various codes:

Click on section "With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can I still redeem codes for Xbox Live Gold, other Xbox Game Pass plans, or EA Play?"

The cheapest conversion I calculated using the available codes on CDKEYS.com was 3 months of Game Pass Core for $15.59, which turns into 51-52 days. You'll want to make sure you choose the *STACKABLE* version of the code that can be used on existing/active accounts:

For example, I just redeemed 5x codes and got 257 days added to my existing Game Pass Ultimate account. Some codes turned into 51 days, some turned into 52 days, and I think only one code turned into 50 days. In any event, using a 30 day month, that comes out to $9.10 per month of Game Pass Ultimate.

Using the conversion rates from the Microsoft link above, the best bargain would be using 3/6/12/24 month Game Pass Console codes (assuming that they are stackable codes that can be used on an existing/active account), which I could not find. Any of those codes convert at a 75% rate, or 4:3 ratio (face value/converted value).

So, if you can still find a 3 month Game Pass Console codes at $20.63 or cheaper, then that would be a better deal.

For US accounts, the new 13-month stacking limit only applies to "Xbox Game Pass for Console", which is being phased out. Game Pass Ultimate can still be stacked for up to 36 months after September 18th, 2024.

You don't want to wait until November. They're hiking up the sub price in September and lowering the cap to 13 months. The goal is to cap 3 years before that. The highest tier tier is going up to 19.99/month.

You can grab straight up ultimate for for 63 bucks on G2A. A little over 5 bucks a month. I'm not to up to date on all the different conversion deals/attempts and the effort to do them, but this you can buy US.

I can't post link, slick deals won't let me. I just googled "game pass ultimate" and G2A has the deal (if it's really a deal).

I just got this deal. It did not convert to ultimate for me. I didn't have a active subscription at the time. I didn't realize it wouldn't convert, I only got it to play on the Amazon fire stick which requires ultimate subscription. This sucks

All you need to do is buy one month of ultimate and it will convert whatever many months of core you just bought to ultimate on a 3:2 ratio. So if you bought a year of core and then one month ultimate to upgrade the core you would be left with 9 months of ultimate. Best use is to buy the three years of core one of ultimate and you now have 25 months of ultimate.

Thank you, I bought one month and says I have until April 2025. This is awesome. From what I understand you said bye 2 more years of core to get 25 months of ultimate. Do I need to bye another month of ultimate?

So you would have wanted to stack the core up to 3 years before converting to get the best ratio. Once you've converted from core to ultimate the ratio changes from 3:2 to 3:1 when adding core onto an ultimate account. So since you have ultimate till April of 2025 if you bought another year of this core it would add on 4 months and get you to September of 2025. Not a great conversion ratio. But if you are any good with VPNs there's another slickdeals post that is helpful for adding on months at like $4 bucks a month of ultimate which is way better than what you would get from this deal which is like $15 a month now that you've converted

I let my Game Pass Ultimate subscription lapse yesterday. Bought three years of this deal on the 12-month cards for $42.90. Then converted to Ultimate and got 25 months of Ultimate. Only $5.15 a month for 25 months!

12 month Core converts into 4 months Ultimate on active GPU subscriptions... so about $11 per month. Not the best deal, but you won't get a better one waiting until your current sub expires.

This is definitely slick..if only for the hassle-free process. I use the term "hassle-free" loosely, because I've done the conversion for ultimate, and had no issues in the past..and while I'm sure the VPN process isn't all that difficult..a little over $5 a month, for ultimate outright..seems like a no-brainer to me. Not familiar with G2A..anyone care to comment on their legitimacy? Either way, good looking out on this find, and thanks for the thread OP

BE careful, the only 12 month I see under $100 is for an account, not a key. It grants you access to an account

Just bought my Xbox today, thanks for laying out the method for this. I bought x3 core 12 month cards then bought 1 month of ultimate card and my sub is good until September of 2026 (microsoft gave me 1 month free also).
