A good chunk of those 1 star reviews say you won't get more than 2 years out of this, most said less. May be worth extended warranty.

I bought this one 4 years ago. It is super quiet and works as expected. Excellent design and quality!

I paid about $900 from Costco. About exactly a year ago but going strong. Relying on the Costco guarantee if it craps out

Yeah. Sorry I should've been clearer. I got a different brand from Costco for more money hoping it's more reliable than this poorly reviewed item at best buy
Definitely a possibility of a lemon which sadly is a problem with most wine/beverage fridges.. would love for you to link what fridge you got, since from what I see most also have problems even buying from Costco… costco is the first place I check, but at more than half the price for a very nice looking modern beverage center, I'd be hard pressed to find anything better even at double the price - $800… if one is really concerned about the longevity, you can purchase the 4 year extended warranty for $60.. making the total price (including delivery) $490+tax which still seems like a steal…

Do they offer haul away of the old fridge? How do I get rid of that?

I have eurocave. If you have cheap wines then you dont even need a frig. If you have wines that costs several hundred to thousands per bottle, get eurocave or la cache.

The reviews that note how these things fail just past the end of the warranty period may explain the slashed price!

In for 1 plus the 4 year warranty at $60. 🤷 ♂️ That's the magic sauce to make it work forever without issue, so, gotta do it.
