InstaPot not Instant ….Deluxe Crock Pot.
Their brand is instant now, I think it was only instapot when they first started. This is a Dutch oven inside a heating chamber. The Dutch oven itself is removable so you can use it on its own and seems to be better quality than my lodge Dutch oven. The heating chamber allows you to use the Dutch oven without using your stovetop. You can sear, braise, etc. It is quite different from a slow cooker (it can slow cook, it just does plenty of other stuff too and slow cooking isn't really its main purpose). I got this from Costco when they had them for $49.97 and I really like it. I don't use it as much as my larger Dutch oven and for some recipes I put the Dutch oven in the actual oven, whereas this is better for recipes that need to simmer for a long time, but if I don't feel like using my stovetop, I will sometimes use this to sear and then lift this dutch oven out of its heating chamber to put into my oven. So for the price I think it's great since a similar size/quality Dutch oven goes for $50ish on its own.

Can this put on a regular stovetop? might be worth it if I can be used like a normal cast iron dutch oven

Yes this is a normal/real Dutch oven that is removable from the surrounding heating chamber (it just lifts out). It can go on your normal stove and in a normal oven. You can also use the heating chamber it comes with as it does seem to hold temperature pretty well without having to do anything whereas using it on a normal stovetop you'd have to regulate the temp since Dutch ovens hold heat so well. If for some reason you scorch the bottom of the Dutch oven it comes with, you can place a similarly sized other brand Dutch oven in the heating chamber. Hope that helps.

The brand was "InstantPot", never "InstaPot". There has always been a "T" in the word.

This is one of those true "you GOTTA be committed to using this" use cases of life, else you're going ot use a large dutch oven that you used maybe 1-2 times a year at best.

I think Instant went out of business or someone bought them.

I have one of these and it's in heavy rotation in the fall and winter. My crockpot went out last year and I never replaced it because this works for me. I love that I can sear or brown my meat and cook all in one pot.

I got one for $50 from Costco when they had their sale. If it broke today I would pay $100 to replace it. The Dutch oven is easily worth $50 on its own.
