Code says 7/14 only in T&S, but it appears to be a typo for 7/15 or they extended the sale. Didn't notice the sale until very very late on 7/14, basically 7/15 eastern, so it's probably the latter.

Just doesn't seem like these are very good deals...
No one is forcing you to buy anything. Don't buy if you are uncomfortable.

Been wanting a chainsaw but all they have is factory reconditioned and there are too many horror stories about that stuff.

most of the prices from this store are either the same price as HD or that you can easily find elsewhere... And the products you're getting from this store are all blemished/damaged goods to boot. Not a fan of this store at all, it just feels slimy/dishonest.
Most people do not do the proper research and do not understand this is not just some random clearance store. If you buy from anywhere else other than HD or DTO, you are NOT getting warranty. Direct Tools Outlet is owned by the Techtronic, the parent company of Ryobi, Milwaukee, Ridgid.... There is a HUGE difference in buying from an Amazon, amazon seller, ebay, etc... and HomeDepot and DirectToolsOutlet. HD and DTO are the ONLY authorized resellers in the US for Ryobi. Your receipt from elsewhere will not be honored for warranty.

If you buy from some random store for a good deal, of course you're going to have a headache when there is a warranty issue. DTO is not a random store. For power tools they give you a shipping label (they pay) to mail in for warranty. If it is a large power tool, you have to take it to a local authorized repair with proof of warranty.

U have to watch the site often as prices with discount are up and down like a roller coaster. I've bought 15 to 20 items from DTO over the last 5 years and saved maybe 2 grand. I just bought a new blower bc it's at lowest price it's ever been at, got it reconditioned for 50% less than home depot. Now reconditioned warranty is only one year not 3 years like blemished or new from home depot is so yes it's a gamble but every single reconditioned item I buy has come brand new in box. Isn't always the case but so far I've had no issues absent saved a good amount of money. I didn't but another tool I've been watching bc it's still 20% higher than I've heard it being so I'll just keep an eye on it and get it down the road.
DTO has only 29 Ridgid tools for sale BUT only one (1) of the 29 is "factory blemished" which means that if you were looking for any deals on a Ridgid tool AND get the LSA ... this "sale" is not for you.
They lost me as a customer a few years back with $14.99 shipping cost and extremely slow shipping.
I've purchased quite a few times over the past year and shipping has always been prompt. And the $14.99 shipping, while annoying, is for the entire order. So when I bought 5 pressure washers, I loved it! When only buying one or two items, it isn't as good.
Doesn't matter where you are. Their server is in Cali. So purchase time is based on where they are not where you are. This is pretty much the case for any online store and time dated coupons. In this case, you can be on east coast and code will still work for a few more hours.
It's based on east coast time. I only know this because spent about an hour looking at all the stuff for sale, filling my cart and then trying to check out at 11:03 pm central and the 35% sale items are gone from my cart.

Not the case. I had a few things in my cart and was looking a couple more things to get for in store pickup. Just went to check out at 12:10 and all the discounts were gone. This sale is over now period. They do have free shipping for another day but nearly everything is back to full price, which kills that perk.

Yep. Just had the same happen to me at 12:10. Should have just made the purchase. Oh well... at least I know for next time.

What I said in the earlier post still applies just that the server is EDT not PDT. Those on the west coast still cannot buy even though it's still 7/147/15 there right now. They don't get to buy even though its within the sale date because it's about the local time of the server not the local time of the buyer. This does happen with other websites like Newegg and Amazon on BF specials, which are definitely based on PDT.
This discussion that was being had was trying to reconcile the discrepancy of why the sale was on 7/15, even though it was stated 7/14 in the T&S last night. We discovered this was due to a typo earlier this morning not because the server is PDT, which was a speculation to explain the error. The server is EDT.

DTO experience has been well discussed on reddit ryobi sub both in terms of blem and recon.
