Just fyi only games on switch version are
Metal gear (MSX), metal gear 2: solid snake, metal gear (NES), snakes revenge. The rest you have to download.

Snake Eater is getting a facelift and a re-release as Metal Gear Solid Delta [konami.com] if that effects your decision.

They already have. Twin snakes, completely redone with updated gameplay mechanics ( not just texture upgrades)

You need the cartridge to play all of them, but you also need download MGS 1, 2, and 3. If eShop downloads ever go away (if, and probably a long time from now) you will be left with a worthless cartridge.

This would be an awesome collection to get on the Switch, but I'm not buying a physical just to then have to download some of the better games. We all know the estore will eventually get closed down and then what will you do? I buy it, I own it, I keep it and nobody will take it from me unless I want to get rid of it.
