I did try to be helpful by backing up my question with the fact that Woot sells great refurbished Ring products. I know this first hand, and mentioned it because that information might be helpful to others when making their decision to buy a refurbished product from Woot. This is a discussion thread. If you don't want discuss the deal and want to lecture instead, consider going somewhere else to do that in the future.

Exactly, better to buy through Dyson on ebay since it comes with 2 year warranty on refurbished items.

Can anyone speak to the typical condition of Dyson refurbs? All I know is that the Ring camera stuff that I get from Woot "refurbished" is essentially brand new.

This question gets asked an every thread about Dyson refurbs (and actually all refurbs) and the answer can be found on any of those threads. In summary, the answer is that they are usually very good and most people receive items that look new or have little wear. However this answer isn't 100% as there are some random dissatisfied customers as well. Ymmv is the consensus. There, just saved you some time. Now go on to some Tide thread or dishwasher pod thread and ask "how does this compare to Costco".

Got my v10 on a previous SD for $250 from ebay, with the allstate warranty included I believe. Great vacuum and looked brand new aside from the generic brown box

It is one of the best cordless stick vacuums you can get for hardwood floors. The fluffy optic head cleaner is great and has a green laser that spans in front of the vacuum head allowing you to see much more dirt, hair, and debris than a standard LED light will allow you to. I almost bought a refurb'd V11 Animal from Dyson's eBay store but I'm glad I decided not to as I will surely get this and it's $175 cheaper than if you get the refurb'd V15 from Dyson. Plus, you can get a battery adapter and use DeWalt battery packs for this, I'll never run out of juice.
