The XM4s beat out the PX7 S2 in just about every sound category except for build quality and a couple of others (along with APTX functionality).
The XM4s are currently the same price and they are fantastic. If APTX is super important to you, then go with the PX7 S2.
Solid reviews for the upgraded version
Back to the Px7 S2, the next version, the S2e, is *SIGNIFICANTLY* better. They both run a bit bass heavy (and I turn down my bass using their in-app EQ), but the S2e is clearer and more detailed. Plus, it has better ANC. Unfortunately, I haven't seen that version for cheaper than $246, and again, that was for Prime members on Prime Day.
is annoying. the smoothness and detail is addicting. b&w brand is high end and expensive.
lots of audiophiles have issues with both the speakers and fones. both sound amazing but you know they are built with a stiff upper lip. ps you can routinely pickup the s2e's on amazon for the same price and are the next generation of the s2's.

These have a better sound then the Bose but I pretty much only use the noise canceling headphones when I fly and the Bose do a better job.
Other things to think about. Boss have a separate audio jack and usb-c port for charging. The B&W has one usb-c port to do both. I like having separate ports like the Bose.
The other big deal is that with the Bose, when you have plug in the audio jack, the Bluetooth is automatically disabled. With the B&W, if there is no audio coming through the usb-c, it automatically connects to your Bluetooth device. This was a slight annoyance when I watching movies on a flight.
If you're going to use noise canceling headphones while flying, skip these. If you aren't, these are pretty good. Never tried the Sony so I can't compare.
