Wow, looks like toner costs as much as the printer. Stick to Epson Ecotank for cheap color prints.
Yes there will be "re-manufacture toner with chips" later and it is too new the printer so that is why for now use the OEM toner. I rarely printer so for my it takes 7 years to change a toner. The re-manufacturer toner will be likely at Staples or Office Depot and it will be a Staples brand or Office Depot brand and it is from "CLOVER TECHNOLOGIES GROUP, LLC". Amazon also carry Clover Technology. For Example: https://www.officedepot.com/a/pro...ner/#Specs OR https://www.amazon.com/Office-Dep...B07GNSTFPV I am waiting for the manufacturer toners to appear from that company. I think about 1 year later next year or so we should remanufactured with chips come out soon.
You can check this page out from Amazon and it is by Clover Technology https://www.amazon.com/stores/pag...f_=ast_bln. The also have ink cartridge too. I order the cartridge form them for my HP 1018 printer and I only paid $28 compare to original HP toner for $104!. I hope when you click on Amazon it can even help you SAVE MORE!

Well, if you print that little then sounds like it works for you.
I've been burned on the notion of waiting for "cheaper generics". Bought a Canon imageclass for $170, found it here on slickdeals. The generic toners are $90/easy. Even with meh sellers straight out of China to Amazon.

I see. What Canon image class do you have? Let me look if there is lower compatible tone for you and less then $90.00.
I am looking for you. Did your purchase the printer last year or this year? I found these compatible toner and the individual cartridges are $28 to $34. The site is this https://www.compandsave.com/canon...cartridges. If you are using a third party cartridge do not update the firmware.
If possible I would use the CLOVER TECHNOLOGIES GROUP, LLC because I have used them and they are good. Right now I checked on clover Technology and they don't have them yet. Please check on this site regularly for new compatible toner for your toner when it launches https://www.cloverimaging.com/pro...lter[np]=1

Oh sorry I didn't know you wanted 4 packs. If you buy individually that would be better. Yes if it is 4 packs it will always be expensive. I never buy a 4 pack because in case if the printer breaks then you lost your money on toner. If you don't mind me asking do you run a business?
