The cross canyon tents are not very good. Way too many stakes are required - 3 per vestibule, one per side... 10 stakes for a free standing tent - its ridiculous. Super loud when the wind blows because you can't get the tent taught - even though you have 10 stakes.

Fact. I remember looking into these a couple years ago when they were cheap and watched a few reviews that steered me in another direction

I missed the mountain gear tents on sale last month. Any recommendations for 2/3 person that can handle potential rain?

I picked this one up last week and its being delivered today. MSRP is $375 and its currently $129 with free shipping.

Information on this specific model is kinda sparse, because its discontinued. I believe that its just under 5lbs, and the few reviews I can find on it are favorable, other than it being heavier than some websites have it listed. There are two versions of this 3p tent, one us "UL" and the other not. Not sure if the reviewers got the two mixed up.

One youtube reviewer hoses this tent down without any leaks, so just by the specs, it should hold up to some rain.

It comes with a lifetime warranty according to the Marmot website.

Visit your local North Face outlet. I found a Trail Lite 2p for $45 and the Trail Lite 4p $80. Got both

Although Klymit offered a lifetime guarantee, I was VERY disappointed with the welds on my sleeping pad. Leaks up and down the whole thing.

Currently sitting on 130k miles on a motorcycle and a 2 man tent. We also take massive 8 man tents, and my wife and I set them up like apartments in state parks for extended stay. I've wasted almost $1000 on a Marmot that lasted 3 trips and a storage before delamination.

Buy a Big Agnes and be done with it . You can't beat the customer service. They will FB direct message a response immediately. Just my many miles opinion.

Thanks, got two chairs - same price as the Cascade mountain ones at Costco but these are lighter, hopefully they hold up.

Also got a blanket to get free shipping since we needed one anyway.
