They actually offers mix match these days. Would be bit pricier (almost the same but add up the mobo and ram diff) but it still is an option now. Just try to put 3 parts in cart and it should show.
Oh wow you're right, thanks! Which do you think is a better deal, the 7800x3d for ~$204 or the 7600x for ~$98?

Added it to the main post. Is an extra 16gb of ram not worth $10 though?

the RAM speed is slower (5200 vs. 6000) but that said, you're getting such an absurd amount of RAM and the numbers are diminishing returns. hitting 48gb is a 'for funsies' number for most folk haha

the 6000 may be the route to allow yourself to buy another 32GB in the future and go 64 Embarrassment Embarrassment Embarrassment

I was about to buy that one but i'm kinda curious about the 48GB Big Grin

No. But you're not far off... Technically it's $20 less than it's normally priced. So you're getting at 4% discount. Not really a slick deal IMHO....

Yup - hence the reason why only thinking about it haha. I'll probably wait another year or two though before actually upgrading. Probably not until a 50-100% performance increase.
I'm still running a 9900k and havent found a need to upgrade for any game yet. I want to upgrade... but I don't need to. Good thing I don't have a MC near me, because this deal is tempting!

Typically Feb/March are the clearance deals for clearance tech.. you get BS deals Q3 and Q4... this happened last 3 years as inflation stalled the upgrade cycle..

the price is 469 now for each bundle, the 32gb is more appealing because it's faster ram that will gain a few fps, vs the extra 16gb of slower ram

edit -prices changed back

Is the industry moving that fast that you'd see 50-100% performance increase 3-4 years?

You do not want any part of the 13 or 14th generation CPU's. They have been failing and there are plenty of data sheets on them regarding that (intel CPU's).

I am rocking the same one you are and I love it. Haven't had any CPU performance issues. I also have 64GB of RAM. I had 32GB but I was invited for the D4 closed beta and seen it was using almost all of my RAM; so I added 64GB. I didn' t know there was a memory leak but by the time I got the 64GB installed, they fixed the leak, lol. OH well.

I want to build a similar (or more powerful) AMD build as I haven't really had a good AMD system since the Phenom II 6 cores were out.

FYI the Microcenter user reviews for this bundle mention issues with this motherboard.
