I ended up getting the subscription from Newegg. Even though it says Newegg will take over your subscription, it didn't. Got a key in email and in my newegg account. Went ahead and activated in Microsoft account.
My subscription was expiring next month, now it will expire in Dec 2025.

I had a subscription initially purchased through Newegg in 2021 and just got this deal. It stacked with my subscription without issue.

Thanks for the info. Did the key give you 12 months or 15 months? Cause the Newegg listing says 12 + 3 when you set up auto renewal
I got 12 + 3 months for aut0-renewal.

I applied on a sub purchased from NewEgg but have used a mix of Newegg, Costco in the past and this is on top of that. I still manage my sub on microsoft account and not in newegg.

Office 365 includes Microsoft Defender, which is premium to Windows Security that comes with Windows. Not to be confused with Defender from years ago which became Windows Security. It has VPN and dark web scanning but requires a separate download from the App Store. Absolutely no need for Norton

If I have a 6 PCs - all on the same microsoft account, are they counted as one user or six?

That's not quite right. Each account can install on up to 5 devices. Each family plan can use 6 accounts. So, in theory, the family plan gets you up to 30 devices (but only for 6 people).

I have done this newegg deal multiple times in the past but don't remember "the scary language" in the terms and conditions. I always was able to manage the subscription with Microsoft directly. There are plenty of threads discussing issues with an Amazon based 365 subscription. Just curious if the newegg language has changed in the last few years.

I'll just post that I successfully stacked this to my existing subscription. I had auto-renew off by default. I bought my current sub from antonline (personal -> family (9 month)). my account is managed by microsoft (account.microsoft.com) when you hit 'manage' it stays on the MS website.

Adding this code I just purchased extended it 15 months. It didn't even ask to set to 'auto renew' and my auto renew is still "OFF" so it does stack and does add the full 15 months regardless of your settings.

I might buy another just to extend it longer for funsies.

Wait.. I remember reading something on here from a year or two ago about these deals

Wasn't there some trick where you were supposed to stack Personal+Personal+Personal as many subscriptions as you wanted and then put Family at the end? I can't remember what it was exactly.

Is there still a "trick" like this.. where there should be a certain order to maximize the number of months? Or did they close that loophole?

If I remember correctly.. I believe they were crediting Family months at the same ratio as Personal months.. but my understanding now is that loophole is gone? So it no longer matters what order we stack the Family+Personal subscriptions?

I think right now I have Personal. But I haven't applied another Family and another Personal that I have from previous deals.

curious too.. I had ignored these deals for about a year or so.. and now I'm back! as I guess my subscription needs to be extended soon.. any idea if things are different now with control over management of it?

If you choose to keep Personal.. how many months of Personal do you get by stacking this 15 month Family on top? Is it good value doing it like that?

I got 15 months (no strings attached) + 1 free month if I set up recurring billing (i.e., auto renewal) with Microsoft. I did it because you have 30 days to get a full refund once that happens, and I'm pretty good about staying on top of these things--I usually renew manually before it expires.

Just applied my supposed 15-month renewal, and it actually ended being 16 months.

Signed out of MS apps on my machines first, then canceled my Dell-linked subscription via Dell's Digital Vault, and when I went to reopen MS apps, it had me enter the new Product Key from this Newegg order.

The verbiage for the license purchased from Newegg suggests it will be Newegg-linked/branded ("Beginning from the date you activate your subscription, Newegg (acting as an agent of Microsoft Corporation) will automatically charge your payment card $99.99 (plus applicable taxes) every 12 months to continue your subscription"). But within my Microsoft account, it seems to be completely generic with no mention of Newegg all all.
