I know it's a Sanus and everything but that's expensive for a tv mount.

I paid $120 for the same a couple of weeks ago and thought that was a good deal. Those mounts go for ~$200 elsewhere. But I should say that the mount is very decent.

terribly overpriced. these large tv full motion mounts can easily be found for 30-50 bucks regularly and are plenty strong. i have more than a dozen 75" tv's between home and business mounted and all on much cheaper mounts that work excellent.

I have this mount and use it outside for my 70 inch. Although it might be considered expensive for a SD, this thing is built like a tank. I had another mount outside, and swapped it for this one because the wind would knock the TV back and fourth on windy days. Imo it worth it and I get plenty of mounts around 40 bucks that work fine. If I was to describe it in one word I would say it's over-engineered.

I got this a week ago. The nice thing about this that similar ones for less don't have is that it extends 28." In my case, that was worth it to be able to bring the TV out to be flush with the surrounding cabinetry.

I haven't seen any lower cost that extend 28 or further and only 2.4" slim.

Anyone have any picks? Getting a 85"...

I have this with an 85" and the idea was to be able to move/tilt the TV if we are outside to watch. The size/weight of the 85" makes it difficult to move and we found it more inconvenient if anything so we don't bother. This mount being under 2.5" is actually slimmer than the normal tilt version which is impressive.

Please check the vesa mount, this TV mount max vesa mount size is 600 x 400 mm.
I recently got a TCL 85 TV which requires a 600 x 600 vesa mount. I can barely find a popular brand for it

Any suggestion for one?

Currently using a 55", but looking to upgrade to a big 77" or larger OLED TV.

I bought this years ago to mount a TV because it was one of the few UL mounts that extends 25" or more. It was a very specific use case to make my TV flush coming out of those TV alcoves in so many 90's built homes. Anyway, it is extremely heavy duty and can extend more than any other mount I could find so it's worth it for those 2 factors

I have 3 of these and I've always preferred them. BUT by mistake, my wife bought a "Mounting Dream" brand mount and I have a new favorite! Sanus is like a Lexus and Mounting Dream seems to be the Toyota (same manufacturer for those who wouldn't get the simile). For the money and function, the lesser cost seems to be the greater value.
