At Home Depot, both 3/8 and 1/2" stubby kits just dropped from $329 to $179.00 but there is a bogo right now making the kit 115.26. Just select any of the $99 tools.

Looks like kit was $199 couple days ago. Home Depot trying to clear these kits as the new 2nd gen version is coming

Buy both and return the $99 tool to only pay the $115 price.

3/8 is a good sweet spot with this tool.

Depends on what sockets you already have. Technically the 3/8" model tests out with more torque. That said, the NEW M12 stubby looks to be revolutionary rather than evolutionary, with up to 550 ft-lbs of torque.

I've been waiting for this deal to jump on it but I heard rumors about a new stubby release that is more powerful/better. True or rumor?

Gen 2 comes out in September, double the torque, $199 for bare tool.

I have a gen 1, 250 ft-lb is not enough if there's any rust.

I've got the 3/8" gen 1 and it's fine. Takes lug nuts off my truck too. When the gen 2 comes out I will get the 1/2". 500 ft lbs on 3/8" drive is ridiculous

The new one is 550 ft lbs of torque will be released soon … probably 250$ ish tool only . Gen1 stubby has been a god sent by mechanics for the past 3-4 yrs at 250 ft lbs of torque plenty to do a brake job or many other jobs in tight spaces .for 115$ for a kit this is a steal ! Do I want the gen2 yup , but at 115$ for a kit of gen 1 I'd jump on if I did not already have both of these ! Any gen1 is plenty to do most jobs . Anyone second guessing this deal shouldn't hesitate if you don't already own them .

A newer generation is coming at towards the end of the year. It will have double the torque. However, for a tool this size, 250FTLB is perfectly adequate. For the price, I would definitely buy the Gen 1. I currently have the Gen 1 and have no intentions of switching. I will reach for my 1/2 high torques for anything more.

It's true but would you be willing to lay full price for it?

Tried this and the mid torque on my Honda Civic brakes, neither of them could break calipers loose. Sold the stubby, way too weak. Kept the mid torque was able to use to press in front end ball joints. But honestly will get the high torque when I can find a good deal. Stubby is kinda useless unless the nut is already broke loose and you just want it off faster than manually doing it.

Smoking deal, thanks op! Mainly standardized on Dewalt over the years, but slowly adding Milwaukee because of all these amazing deals.

Why say no when it feels so good to say yes? 🤣
