Yep. There have been 4 different versions of the Switch if I recall (v1, v2, Lite, OLED). Original comment about longevity was in regard to the age of the platform.

Yes, same with mine. Didn't realize this but set my 5Ghz wifi channel and everything seems good now.

Not sure if you already know/tried this but if you got a Japanese Switch like I did, it connects to a narrower range of wifi channels than are allowed in the U.S. so you may need to change router settings to make sure it's using one of those channels.
