pro not as good for shower\swimming. it has a speaker mesh exposed, which makes sounds distorted after being exposed to water. not a concern for some, but I prefer endurance version.

For $10 or even $25 more, why not get the Pro? Is that Best Buy deal dead?

The reason I can think of that the BB deal for the Pro is only the regular size and not offered in the mini. I'm a 6 foot plus man and the mini fits me better, although the regular works okay. Otherwise I'd say that the pro is well worth it even if just for the included case.

I've never dealt with the distortion issue the above person describes, but I've never full immersed them either.I have run hot marathons where I was literally dumping water on my head every couples miles without issue.

Ah, I was wondering why the OpenRun Pro was only IP55 (sweat/weather) vs the OpenRun being IP67 (waterproof). I hadn't checked a Pro in person, but I do have both an OpenRun and an Air (now called a OpenMove after the Aftershokz to Shokz rebrand). These are great for their target use cases (i.e. times where you want to listen to something but situational awareness is more important than sound quality).

I just ordered the Pros for +$10, but I don't really know what makes them "better." I'm not athletic, but I work from home AirPods (and most others) make my ears sore, and I tend to only wear one at a time so that I can also clearly hear noises around me, so these feel like a potentially good fit for me. Speaking of fit, though… I don't know whether the mini or pro will be more comfortable for me to wear all day? Thoughts? Should I order both while on sale and return the one I like less?

Regular and mini are exactly the same except for the length of the metal band that goes behind the head and connects left and right parts. Therefore regular wear comfort is exactly the same but this can rapidly change in case you want to rest your head on something - regular size is WAY, WAY TOO BIG, it protrudes outside the head for several inches. I don't know for whom they designed this "regular" size - I have a HUGE head, and mini is more than good enough. I'll never buy regular.

Because regular size only - which is too big for almost everyone.

For about $35, you can get wireless, Bluetooth, completely waterproof for swimming, bone conducting headphones, with on-board storage for music so that you don't HAVE to have another device while you do your activity.

Is there a specific pair of headphones you're referring to here?

are they real bone conduction though? I bought a similar pair a few years ago and would get headaches because of too much pressure. I also dont think they were even real bone conduction.

they were basically these: https://www.amazon.com/VIDONN-Con...B0BMNZ9CVK

I have 3 sets of these and just ordered a 4th one. These are great for many reasons. If you have Tinnitus then bone conducting headphones is GREAT. Used over the ear ones for years and can't anymore because they cause ear fatigue. The great thing about these are the 2 year warranty because I took advantage of mine and they sent me a new set when my headset broke, basically the headband snapped and the sleeve glue came apart.
