Just, beware... I bought several of these in 2019, we had a surge and two of my TVs got fried, along with an Xbox, all of which were plugged into separate power strips. This was back before Amazon became extremely stingy, but they did recoup me for the losses of these items. Maybe they make them better now, who knows, but I just wanted to share so that you're aware of the potentials that could occur to you when you think you're doing something good that will protect your expensive electronics.

My favorite surge protectors. This out performs everything in its price class (joules, spike V, clamp load, etc). Even the twice as expensive Belkin above doesn't match the joule rating of these.

Friendly reminder that surge protectors should be replaced periodically as their joule rating diminishes with use.

Great price on both the 6ft and 12ft.

Completely agree with the rule of thumb, except the surge occurred within a month of purchase which is why I share my story (and should have included it in my original posting)

I like it, but personally I'd opt for two 8-outlet ones for $22 over 12-outlets for $20.

Personally, I recommend buying 9. That way you can daisy chain 8 into one to get 64 outlets for 64 space heaters.

Glad to hear you were reimbursed, but as I noted above surge protectors have lifespans; The more surges your protector experiences, the less effective it becomes. General rule of thumb is replace every two years but that can go up or down based on the number of surges experienced. Identifying a worn out surge protector is not an easy task so best to stick with the rule of thumb.

i bought belkin as they have 12 in single outlet, and also warranty for 300K. not sure if we can really take the benefit but having it is just good.

This has been my favorite strip (plate?) I've ever purchased. Fits all the wonky sizes, plenty of space, nice management. Love it.

can't we just change a fuse or something inside these, to renew the strip?
