Please someone let us know your previous experience with this type of product - are the ear cups new? Hope so. I bought a refurbished around the neck LG sports headphones before and they were definitely used in the gym - the band smelled like sweat even though the ear plugs were new. Had to use lots of alcohol on the band before the smell mostly went away and then eventually aired out.

anyway, went ahead and purchased since this is a fairly new product and should hopefully not have been used too much. came out to $291.77 after tax and coupon. it already has good reviews from buyers on eBay with 350 units sold. didn't want to wait till black Friday.

Thanks! I purchased a refurbished Bose 700 directly from their website before, and it's the best way to acquire Bose. As long as you register your headsets, they back up their products 100% of my previous experience with them. I accidentally made a dent in my left ear cup, reached out to them for repair, and expected to pay for it, instead, they sent me a newly refurbished headset no questions asked for free.

Right now AMEX has $30 off $200 at Bose. I bought these a few days ago and immediately got the AMEX Credit. They're arriving today. Not sure what to expect, but Bose has a good return policy it seems.

For people who own Sony XM4 and Bose Ultra, does it worth upgrading? I like my XM4 but they get uncomfortable after a while esp in hot weather

I bought these headphones new. The sound quality and noise canceling is very good. Battery lasts a long time. Build quality of the headphones seems a little poor but otherwise I've liked these headphones a lot.

I own both QC Ultra and XM4 headphones. Sound quality and ANC are about the same. QC Ultra is a bit more comfortable. I bought it for $250 new from Verizon and sold my QC 35 II for $150, and it was worth upgrading, not sure if it's worth upgrading from XM4.

I've owned XM4s, XM5s, and these. XM4s I prefer. These are fussy about just turning on at some times. Noise reduction is exactly on par or better than Sony, same for sound quality. XM5's were the worst of the 3 by far due to their selective noise cancellation, which would go of and on and off and on at night with my air conditioner on.
