Careful with this one. A lot of reports of a firmware or hardware issue that causes the drive to slow down significantly after a few months. Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmaster..._2400_mbs/

I wouldn't risk it and pay a few more bucks for the SN850x instead.

No, can't use SATA III converter because SATA III operates on a different interface and protocol and speed will reduced to 550-600 MB/s vs 7,000 read for NVMe.

Get the Samsung 990 Pro with heatsink instead: https://a.co/d/hIPZxgB

You can also buy a Best Buy egift card on Amazon ($90 for $100 GC), and then buy this card at Best Buy (same price as Amazon) and you save and extra $10. brings price to $139.99 for a top m.2 SSD with a heatsink.

I have this drive and I do have that same issue. Write speeds went from 7GBps to around 3GBps. However, it's for consumer use and my read speeds are still over 7GBps, so it doesn't really bother me at all. But I also understand wanting to avoid it due to such a problem.

Platinum P41 has been my daily driver going on 2 years. No issues to report here.

I've got one. Didn't even take a year to get the slowing.

Wish I wouldn't spent a bit more for a better drive.

Sounds like an overblown issue? Every drive has slow down issues:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware...slowdowns/

The more you use the disk, the more fragmented the files get, so when you write new files it's slower. The other question is, do you download faster than 6000 MB/sec?

The reason to get these SK Hynix SSDs are they're efficient and low power usage for laptops or SFFPCs
