I've used these locks for years and they are really great. Batteries last quite a long time. You'd be surprised how much time a fingerprint will save you time and how often it's nice to let yourself in if you forgot your keys, or someone else in an emergency / family / landlord / contractor situation.
If you have a rental or ABNB, you're going to want to get the built in wifi versions. Eats batteries quicker than with the gateway, but well worth it for multi lock management.
If you DON'T have a need for air, you're probably better off with the non built in wifi version and use a hub, to save batteries. All other functions are the same.
Personally, I LOVE the pro version because of the fingerprint reader. Super quick and accurate. Not really needed for a rental, so save your money. I also like the non pro for doors I don't really use often, like a garage, pool house, etc.
*** Locks don't need wifi to work. Only to add codes/remove codes/lock/unlock remotely. If you lost power or wifi, your phone can still communicate via bluetooth to these locks. Or, just use the key or enter a code***
*** If your batteries die, you can use key, or micro usb port on PRO versions only*** Personally, I always do both doors and never had an issue where I was locked out. This is mostly because the low battery warns you for over a week before dying. At the point, you sorta deserve it
