Dymatize Elite is high in Cholesterol compared to others if that's a big deal to you. I don't order anything other than their ISO100 Hydrolyzed now.

Anything around 10$/lb is the standard unfortunately.

No S&S and after taxes, you're still spending $10/lb. I don't know about you, but that's still expensive for whey (a byproduct from the production of cheese) for me. They used to just trash the stuff before we got all fancy with it.

Whey, a byproduct of cheese, used to be treated as a waste stream and disposed of cheaply. Because it's mostly water, whey has been used as animal feed or fertilizer. However, technological advancements in the dairy industry and research have made whey a valuable raw material that can be used to create new products. Today, about 50% of whey is processed into valuable products, while the rest is still disposed of as waste.

Try the iso if that's ever an option for you. I use a canning jar and water and that is gem every time. But worth the expense? I dunno, i've switched to one shake once in a while if i need a quick dose of protein, but otherwise im trying to stick with food now. We used to think getting immediate, fast digesting protein after a work out really mattered, but now we know different. I'm trying to be on caloric restriction mostly right now and probably not hitting my protein macros as closely as i should. If i was to bulk like some do, I think a shake might be easier than eating all the time. I'm just trying to spend less on processed container food. Especially at the new standard powder prices.
He spent all his money on the protein and has none left for a blender…

Just an FYI, Costco just launched their own whey protein (in store only currently I believe and possibly only chocolate too). It's 5.4 lbs for $47. Also its first ingredient is isolate vs concentrate.
I've had it twice now and I'm very impressed. Mixed well and tastes great. Clean ingredients too. Hopefully they keep selling it so I can stop trying to chase protein deals every couple of months.

Are you making a joke? In any case it says SNAP/EBT eligible. One time purchase only. Sub and save won't work.

Thanks for pointing out the cholesterol amount. I had not noticed that before. I notice that the Sodium in considerably higher in ISO 100. Now I am not sure which is the better way to go stick with the high Cholesterol or take on the higher Sodium.

Just my personal experience, this stuff doesn't dissolve very well at all no matter if I use water or milk. Taste is ok but I'm happy to have mixed my last glass of this today.
If you haven't tried the ISO100, it might be worth your time. I went through a couple tubs of that (Vanilla, Cookies & Cream), then figured I'd give Elite a shot since it was cheaper. The Vanilla Elite flavor was much more saccharine than the ISO100, and it mixed so badly that I gave up after about a week. I refuse to use whey powder that doesn't completely mix with cold water in a shaker bottle.

5lb tubs of ISO100 are about $65 right now. Definitely not the cheapest, but it's one of the cleanest, and the two flavors I mentioned both mix well and taste good (to my palette).

agree 100%. had run out last week and had to buy the elite quickly, really angry at my choice lol. The elite does not mix well and has so much extra cholesterol + the taste is terrible. Noted for next time Frown
