I'm wondering what people usually use these massive microSD memory cards for... They're inherently unreliable for backup data storage. For cameras and phones, it would take ages to use up the space thus running the risk of the card becoming corrupted and losing all data.

Amazon Prime Day deal has the Sandisk 1.5TB micro sd card selling at its lowest price thus far. Last front page deal was for $100 last month.

For those without Prime membership, it's $87.99 which is still lower than last front page price.

Retro gaming libraries on various handheld devices. I have several going on 5 years plus in multiple devices. This is great for an Ayn Odin 2, Steam Deck ect for holding extensive PSX, PS2, GC and Saturn libraries.

Ally/steam deck owners - how is installing and running games off of your device? Noticable load times on a large AAA game or just a couple more seconds of waiting?

I had looked into getting these earlier and ended up passing since they don't suit my needs. But, FYI, there's a reason you see the read speed on these "Ultra" SanDisks advertised as "up to 150MB/s", but won't see the write speed mentioned ANYWHERE in the specs. Reviews and real-world use have consistently found write speed to be 20-30MB/s at best, with frequent slowdowns even below that.

These are fine for data storage if you need to store data in microsd format specifically for some reason, but these are definitely NOT what you want to record 8k@60fps video or pretty much any other application that involves writing any significant amount of data lol
