You are comparing $1000 stuff to a $250 one? What is wrong with you guys?
Its getting tougher and tougher to find affordable laptops like this anymore. These are perfect for the new college student in your family. It's all they would need. 💻 🏫
Yes, but just know that the Dell bios for this locks down the RAM speed to a maximum of 2666mhz even though the processor can technically run 3200mhz RAM. They did this to force people to buy more expensive models if they wanted to use faster RAM.

Looks like the only downside of getting this is no USBC charging. Adding an extra stick of Ram is easy enough but I'd prefer not to have another charger. Decent reviews for a pretty good cheap laptop
if we can add another ram...good, then what do you mean by another charger?
I never had this kind of issue. However. I have signed up Dell Rewards account 3 times (with 3 different email ids) vut never received a 10% email coupon. Can anyone share the subject line of the email you receive with 10% off. It seems I am missing something.
Anyone have any experience with this model? Daughter needs a Windows PC for college, and she's already got a new Macbook, so I don't want to spend much.
Hinge might not survive for day to day college use. Looks for silver ones which comes with Aluminum case and metal hinge. 14" and 16" are considered better built over 15".

I bought this same model in the I7 configuration a few weeks ago, I'm happy with it, screen is not " the best" but it seems sturdy and fast, well constructed...
Also the new Intel Iris integrated graphics are quite good, I'm playing WoW on 5 with 120fps, which is way better than previous integrated Intel graphics, and it doesn't get too hot/ overheat, but again I have the I7 model of this...

If it's true... they failed... no one buys a 200 bucks laptop would notice or care for this detail
I bought 2 of these before the deal expired, and got the 10% off coupon in an email from Dell. But the 10% offer only applied to one laptop. Anyone know why that is? I tried putting a 3rd laptop in my cart and again, the 10% off coupon was only applied to one of them.
Still, it seemed like a good deal to me. Now I have to decide where to get another 8 GB of RAM for each of them.
