I had a Vantrue N4 which has a common issue with the camera going out and only recording a black screen until you press the camera physically, then it starts recording again. There's a common issue with these Vantrue cameras where after 2 years, the screw holding the camera lens comes loose. You can't open the camera and screw it tight because the wiring and housing won't come back together after opening it up. I wouldn't recommend a Vantrue for the price. 2 years for an issue like that and their support won't accept a return. They only offer you a small discount on a brand new camera.
Normally I'm all poised to attack a company over crappy service and warranty, but they actually processed an RMA for a unit that failed on us. It wasn't seamless, but it was replaced. They wanted me to pay return shipping then later reimbursed it on the order.
I don't have this specific dash cam, but would just note that Vantrue touts it as having 360 degree coverage. I thought that was a very useful feature to record the sides as well as front and back. But actually...
While recording 4 video channels is cool, note that in addition to the front and rear facing cameras are two more cabin-facing cameras. The one on the front unit faces backwards at the first row of seats, and the one on the rear unit faces forwards toward the front of the car.
So the video you'll get from the cabin cameras will be mostly of what's inside your car. People, headrests, pillars, etc will block the cameras' view of what's going on to the side of your car. Also, the difference in lighting outside versus inside (especially at night) will make it harder to get good video of what's going on outside.
I have some dashcams with cabin-facing cameras. If you're seeking footage of the inside of the cabin, they do that well. But if you're hoping to pick up good footage of outside on the sides of the car, you'll be disappointed.

This! I have vantrue 2 channel in SUV but this 360 view is just marketing nonsense!!
I don't have this one but I have an older model and the power cord started losing connection for some reason
I emailed them and asked if they could send me a replacement cord, slightly over a year into owning it. and they did. Good company
Been with them since N2Pro days and worked very well and even recorded an accident that occurred to us. Currently using N4Pro and has no issues at all.
I have a couple of the Dashcams on sale and really like them. I've been thinking of upgrading to a 3 camera model and since i've already run the wiring should be a snap to swap it out.
i ā¤ļø Vantrue dash cams! i currently have the E2, E3, and N2S dash cams in my cars and they are awesome! Well designed products with many options. The best thing about Vantrue is the customer service - they respond asap if you have any technical issues or any questions. This N5 deal is too good to pass up - full 360 deg protection!
Do you get money from Vantrue?

Shitty product. Shitty company. Way overpriced chinese junk
Really? I have 3 and none have failed 4 years, 3 years and 1 year.....1 for a family member had to be replaced; they asked photos and video but sent the items needed.....
I have 3 vantrue dashcams and always pleased with the quality and customer service. The first one still works but is old and outdated. The E2 and E1 on our cars are great cameras. This is a good deal if you need more than 2 channels. I hope they will offer a dual channels with 2.5K in 60 fps one of these days
I have had a few versions of the Vantrue cams and they never disappoint me. They always work as expected and the customer service has been on point. I also bought them for my kids cars as you never know how it will help you out to have video evidence in the case of and accident or encounter. Solid product & great company!
am i missing something, aren't comparable dashcams like this available for 50 bucks? especially since half the comments are about the return and warranty process signalling that this product fails frequently?? https://a.co/d/cbhqLM6

I have been using a pair of N3's successfully for a while now.
Pros: They publish firmware updates on their site, though not in the easiest to find manner. Cables are not proprietary connectors.
Cons: Their firmware is a bit whack. For example, the video quality in higher resolution settings is worse than the video quality in low resolution settings. They haven't got the encoder settings/data rates correct.
Generally though our N3s with rear camera have been reliable in California heat.
