I was using an old Cambridge center from 20yrs ago along with some infinity s....after I got the new center I switched everything else to rp klipsch. Movies sound great now its so clear.
That ctr channel improved hearing dialog a lot.

I believe the sensitivity of the RP-504c ii is a point lower at 96 but the frequency range has a slightly larger range and also is bigger in dimensions and weight over the original (which is already large) and has a redesigned Tractrix horn and updated cabinet.
Regardless - you can't go wrong with either version - isn't a huge change excepting a few of the noted changes above.
