This is a Free-To-Play game with Mixed reviews, and it's been out since July 9th. Shame on you!
Probably posted by the devs, but the game is decent. Most of the bad reviews are from people review bombing it for either being pay to win(its not) or due to chinese data stealing since its publisher is NetEase.
The actual game is okay. Probably will be dead in a few months, but I've enjoyed playing it here and there. If you enjoy survival/crafting games like palworld then you'd prob get into this too.

There's also a lot of misunderstanding about the "data stealing" thing. The actual EULA/ToS says they may receive and store your data if you choose to provide it - e.g., by linking it to your Discord/other socials. There's also something about storing passport or other data, but that's again only for those in countries where the government requires companies to collect that personal info (for instance, China). They're not accessing your passport or social security without you allowing them to, there isn't really a way for them to get that unless you give it to them. Crap misinfo going viral like this is frustrating because there absolutely are real concerns about how companies use our data, but this isn't one of them.
BlueRaccoon1085 posts a lot of deals and is very active on SD. If this was the Devs of Once Human they have put many years into being a secret mole hidden in SD just to post this

Amen, you'd be hard pressed to find a recently released AA or AAA FTP game that isn't being review bombed by A) banned cheaters B) people mad they have to grind not to pay for stuff* C) people who are upset the game is being updated / changed D) people who are upset the game isn't being updated / changed often enough.
* Regarding the grinding; not sure what they expect, that's (almost) the entire business model of of FTP games, grinders populate the servers and the people who pay for crap to avoid grinding keep the lights on.

I was trying to play it last night. Isn't officially on the Steam Deck but reports say it works. Crashed twice for me so I gave up. Also no built in controller support so didn't feel like spending any more time just to get into the game then to spend 30 minutes configuring controls. Looks cool though.

I'm always amused to see a negative review from someone who has logged hundreds of hours in a game. It always starts out like: "This game used to be great, but I cannot recommend it in this state. The devs do not care about the community and their recent changes killed the game for me."

Could be like me where they step away for hours at a time, but dont turn off their machines.
I also hate justvquiting a game when i spent too much time on it as well, hence the long breaks

You aren't the only one who notices those? Or 750 hours logged yet they claim "buggy game in unplayable state!" Played for a entire human month yet 'uNpLaYaBlE?"
The review bombers are also pretty easy to detect (on Steam) because they all have 0.2 hours of gameplay. Bought, installed, booted, then uninstalled game just so they could post a poorly worded rant almost verbatim copied-pasted off reddit / from similar reviews. They of course then demanded a refund from Steam, which Steam will grant by default.

I guess that would be possible but lets pretend for every 1 hour of gameplay you had the game running plaused in the background for 10 hours. So to log every 100 hours you would still have to play 10 actual hours at that ratio. Hardly sounds like something a person who 'hated' a game would bother doing either.
Now, I will say with some always online games my numbers can be skewed slightly. For example played The Division recently completely solo but you still have to be online otherwise you'll get booted. Logged 50 hours but probably only played 40 considering breaks.

Dont put it past people. I've hated games and kept playing it. There is nothing logical about it.
I've been playing genshin for 3 years, and I probably have 5k hours clocked in. I wanted to stop a while back, but i know i put too much time in it. Now i just open the game for dailya and the monthly updates. i stopped reading and listening to quest instructions a while ago. i get the jisr of it but if i was asked a question for money, i would fail.

It's pretty obvious from these reviews that they're so heavily invested in the game that they feel like the devs should ask their permission before issuing updates. Usually, the review will mention the forum mods, meaning that they're active in the game forums. Often they'll mention they were banned from the forums for their opinions, or something like that. Certainly, there are some people who accidentally leave games running, but this is a pattern I've noticed. It's almost always an MMO, and it's always after a patch.

Yeah the game seems like a standard survival sandbox but I've been pleasantly surprised by most aspects of it. Not sure if it has legs to survive long term but I don't think it deserves mixed reviews based on the actual game itself.
