As someone who just uses this because that's all they know, can someone tell me if I don't have limescale buildup, is just cleaning with bleach sufficient? Is there some other benefit of using this vs bleach?

Bleach is fine. I think the key is getting up under the rim so the nozzle on this is helpful. Either way, some elbow grease and a good scrub with a toilet brush, then allowing the bleach to sit and do its magic for 10 minutes before rinsing is the key.

I stopped buying these because of a defective nozzle design that doesn't disengage the inner and outer parts. (Looking at the 1 and 2 star reviews from around 2021, looks like the problem was wide-spread and not just a bad batch.)

Anyone know if they ever fixed the defect?

The nozzle is one key feature, the consistency of the liquid is the other. You need to thicken the bleach however you choose cornstarch, xanthum gum etc. so that it clings to the bowl longer. That's really all this product is. It's a good angled nozzle able to effectively deliver a gel like bleach substance that is able to cling to the bowl longer in order to do its cleaning more thoroughly.

If you have one of those toilets with the enamel coating on the bowl, don't use this product. The bleach will erode that smooth coating over time. Get the bleach-free stuff if you have the bowl coating.

No, they've stayed defective for 3 years and somehow keep selling. It's an absolute miracle

This is false. Bleach can't damage that coating/

Sorry for being off-topic, but is there any trick to have certain Subscribe and Save items shipped separately? I have other Subscribe and Save food items so I wanted this to ship separately in case of leakage.

They do bag it in plastic separately inside the box with other S&S items. I've not had a problem with leakage so far.

Sometimes... I have had dryer sheets sent with Malt o Meal... Nothing like Bounce flavored breakfast! It's hit or miss, but call and complain if it leaks or your food is fresh smelling!
